LG Sales Tax Tops Half Million Dollars

More than half a million sales tax dollars have rolled into La Grange’s city treasury so far this year – the first time ever for so much money in just two months. The city’s rebate for February was $290,729 – up 22.6% from last February’s rebate.

LG School Board Talks 4-Day Week

Wednesday the La Grange school board held their monthly meeting and trustees had extensive discussion about a potential change to a four-day school week. No decision was made on a new school calendar for next year, but they plan to make one at next month’s meeting. Also presented at the meeting was voting on the issue from parents and staff.

The La Grange Knights of Columbus will host a Domino Tournament, Straight and 42, on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the KC Hall located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange. Registration at 9 a.m., play at 10 a.m. A barbecue meal will be available for the players.
