LG School Board Talks 4-Day Week

Wednesday the La Grange school board held their monthly meeting and trustees had extensive discussion about a potential change to a four-day school week. No decision was made on a new school calendar for next year, but they plan to make one at next month’s meeting. Also presented at the meeting was voting on the issue from parents and staff.

64.2% of the 531 parents who responded to the Englishspeaking survey said they were in favor of a four-day week, and 55.9% of the 34 Spanishspeaking respondents were in favor of the four-day week. 75.1% of 193 staff members responded to the new survey, saying they were in favor of a four-day school week. Lots more in Tuesday’s Record.
