Domino Tourney

The La Grange Knights of Columbus will host a Domino Tournament, Straight and 42, on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the KC Hall located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange. Registration at 9 a.m., play at 10 a.m. A barbecue meal will be available for the players.

Natural Medicine

Think Organic Academy will offer a free class, Natural Medicine: Prevention and Healing, at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2-4 p.m. The class is presented by David E. Will, who has taught continuing education classes on Natural Medicine for 35 years. David is not a doctor and has nothing to sell. This class is for educational and informational purposes only. Fayette Soil & Water Meeting

The Fayette Soil and Water Conservation District No. 341, in partnership with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), invites Fayette County landowners and agricultural producers to their annual Local Work Group meeting. The meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24 at the Fayette Agricultural Building meeting room. At this meeting, the SWCD and NRCS are seeking input from the public on how to best serve local citizens through Farm Bill conservation programs and technical assistance. This meeting is an opportunity to bring farmers, ranchers, conservationists, and others with ties to agriculture and the environment to come together to discuss natural resource needs and set local conservation priorities. The information gathered at these listening sessions helps provide NRCS and the District the necessary technical and financial support to help land managers make on-the ground management decisions that produce positive ecological outcomes at the local and state level. This input helps determine collaborative efforts for natural resource priorities and identifies opportunities to address them with conservation practices that improve soils, watershed health, biodiversity and farmers’ livelihoods.

La Grange Senior Citizen Game Day The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center, Inc. will host Game Day on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center. Relay For Life Meeting

Relay For Life of Fayette County will be having a Team Captain meeting on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the La Grange City Hall Council Chambers. All Team Captains and anyone interested in starting a team are invited to attend. This is an important meeting, so be sure to come. Relay For Life of Fayette County will be on April 12 at Leopard Stadium.

La Grange Garden Club Guest Speaker The La Grange Garden Club will have Jay White, owner and publisher of Texas Gardener magazine, as speaker at the February meeting. Preparing for spring planting will be the topic Mr. White will discuss. The lunch time Garden Club meetings are held at Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange. Regular monthly meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month with social time beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by the speaker at 12. February’s meeting day will be Thursday, Feb. 27. No reservations are required. The La Grange Garden Club will give a rose trimming presentation at 11 a.m. March 6 at The Texas Quilt Musuem’s Grandmother’s Garden.The public is invited.

Gather25 Live Stream Event
