Medicare 1 on 1 Enrollment Program Offered Oct. 29

Medicare Open Enrollment can be confusing. To answer questions on what to do whether you are signing up for the first time or re-signing up for the new Medicare year attend one of the two “Medicare 1 on 1” workshops being offered by the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area and hosted by Fayette County Committee on Aging, Schulenburg Regency Retirement Villas, and the Fayette County AgriLife Extension office.

Ellinger City-Wide Garage Sale this Saturday

A Ellinger city-wide garage sale hosted by the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce is planned for Saturday, Oct. 11 starting at 8 a.m. Stop by the chamber hall at 104 W. Colorado Sky to pick up a map of all the locations.

Learn to Sharpen Garden Tools at Bluebonnet Master Gardeners Lunch-N-Learn Program Oct. 1

The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of nine informational meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping for homeowners. Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of information from experts in the area and across the state. This series is designed with the professional in mind. Bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that helps you have a more productive garden, prettier flower beds, or how to better understand your landscape ecosystems.

Warda Neighbors Night Out Set for Oct. 19

Neighbors Night Out in Warda will be held Sunday, Oct. 19, starting at 4 p.m. at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds. Everyone in the community is welcome to join in the fun, food, and fellowship. Speakers include Breck Powers from Bluff Creek Ranch (the first mountain bike ranch in Texas), Harold Atkinson, speaking on oil and gas drilling/ development in our area, Faith Lutheran High School will speak on their growth and progress and Frank Dawson will represent the Warda Watch Group.
