    Arrests, Fires, and Burglary Attempts Mark Active Month for Fayette County Deputies

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of November 2025. Sergeant Ron Naumann took a report in reference to a theft of service. The case is under investigation.

Deputy Josh Jones conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an infraction on State Highway 71. The operator was wanted for 11 counts of smuggling of person pecuniary benefit. The operator was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Fayette County Jail.

Deputy Terry Guentert responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 10. A report was completed.

Deputy Cody Williams responded to a disturbance on North Kirtley Road. After speaking with both parties, Deputy Williams took both parties into custody for Assault Family Violence.

Deputy Herman Olvera responded to an inquest on Three Mile Road near Flatonia. Deputy Olvera also responded to a fatal structure fire on Davis Road. The case is still under investigation.

Deputy Chris Stansberry responded to a disturbance on McDuffy Lane in West Point. A suspect was arrested for assault family violence with an enhancement for a prior conviction.

Deputy James Ulbig responded to a convenience store in West Point, in reference to an attempted burglary. A report was completed.

Sergeant Duane Meagher arrested a female for public intoxication on Laird Road near Round Top. The female was additionally charged with Possession of a dangerous drug after narcotics were located in her belongings. Sgt. Meagher also responded to a convenience store in West Point, where a burglary was attempted. A report was completed.

Deputy Joe Gonzales was patrolling State Highway 95 and observed a small item laying in the road. The item was a bag of marijuana, it was then turned into evidence to be destroyed. Deputy Gonzales also assisted with an aggravated assault case.

Deputy Jason Fowler was dispatched to State Highway 71 near Boening Road in reference to a power line in the roadway. Fayette Electric and the La Grange Fire Department also responded to assist on scene.

Deputy Noah Geer was patrolling near Schulenburg when a hit and run accident occurred. Geer located the suspect vehicle and the operator was identified and then arrested on several warrants. Deputy Geer conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 71. The operator was arrested on several outstanding warrants.

Deputy Jose Mosqueda responded to a business in the 1500 block of North US 77 in reference to a theft in progress. One male was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.

Deputy Wesly Arrison took a report in reference to credit card fraud. Deputy Arrison also responded to an aggravated assault in the 500 block of Deer Loop. A thorough investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspect.

Deputy Ty Roggenkamp was dispatched to the Ledbetter area in reference to criminal trespass. A male subject had been previously issued a criminal trespass warning, so the male was then arrested. Deputy Roggenkamp responded to a residence on Polasek Road in reference to threats. A male subject had made credible threats to harm himself and others. After a brief standoff, the male exited the residence and was taken into custody.

Jail administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 61 individuals for the month of November. Neville reports that the jail staff transported 6 individual(s) to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
