Sign-Ups Now Open for Round Top Chili Cook-Off

The Round Top Family library will be closed Dec. 2426, and Dec. 31-Jan. 2.

The yearly Round Top Family Library Chili Cook-Off is coming up on Jan. 17. Team sign-up and sponsorship opportunities are now available on the library’s website at www.ilovetoread.org.

Round Top-Carmine ISD Christmas break is here. Students are out of classes from now until Jan. 6.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

The annual New Year’s Eve Dance opens at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31. The dance starts at 8:30 p.m. Enjoy cornbread and black-eyed peas at midnight. Steins & Stars Gala

Round Top Rifle Hall is partnering with Round Top Schützen Verein Preservation, Inc., for a fundraising gala! The “Steins & Stars Gala” will be Feb. 28, 2026. Enjoy a delicious ribeye steak dinner, catered by Big Boys Catering, followed by music by The Bandits. Tables of eight and single tickets are available to purchase. Bethlehem Lutheran Church Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church St. Martin holds monthly Mass the first Tuesday of each month at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar.

St. John’s Lutheran Church St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.

RT Christian Fellowship Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.

The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 24. All families are invited to join in on this beautiful evening.

St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church Saint Cecilia’s meets Sundays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. at the Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.

Christmas Eve services will be Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 2:45 and 4:45 p.m. in the Peck Barn at the Compound in Round Top. Several musicians including Joey Mc-Gee (guitar/vocals), Stephen Mansolo (keyboard/vocals), Gospel Singer April Hubert, Anna La Mare (guitar/vocals), Frank Hillbolt (bass) and Vlad Morakovsky (cello) will be performing. There will be plenty of room at The Compound so bring your friends, family, and neighbors.
