Folks on Bluff Had to Boil Their Water for Two Days After Equipment Malfunction

Folks on the bluff who get their water through The Monument Hill Water Control and Improvement District were having a heck of a time this week.

Monday residents were informed that “due to a malfunction in the disinfection equipment, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Fayette County WCID Monument Hill MUD public water system, PWS ID TX0750009, to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.”

The boil water noticed continued Tuesday morning until finally being lifted Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
