St. Rose of Lima Catholic School was very successful at the PSIA District 6A Meet held on Saturday, Feb. 29, in Seguin. St. Rose has a beautiful runner-up middle school trophy on display in the school office. Several students qualified to participate in the State Meet on Saturday, May 2, at TCU in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, the State Meet was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each May, National Foster Care Month, we take the time to raise awareness of the children and families involved in the foster care system and the need for more people to step up to help them. Last year there were 51,417 children in the Texas foster care system, 44 of whom were right here in Fayette County.

The Round Top Family Library reopened this past Monday! The library asks the public to abide by the new guidelines to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Graduation Guidelines

Tuesday Texas Governor Greg Abbott outlined more aspects of reopening the state amidst pandemic precautions. He said barbershops and hair, nail and tanning salons can reopen Friday May 8, but employees will only be able to work with one customer at a time.
