Round Top Family Library Reopens, Curbside Still Available
The Round Top Family Library reopened this past Monday! The library asks the public to abide by the new guidelines to keep everyone as safe as possible.
The new hours will be Monday-Friday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Only six people will be allowed into the library at one time with a 15-minute time limit so others can enter. Per the Governor, no interactive devices allowed, so the computers, iPads, toys, and copier/printer will be turned off and off-limits to visitors. All patrons will be required to wear a mask. All patrons will use either gloves or hand sanitizer upon entering the library to maintain cleanliness of materials and the library itself. All patrons will respect others by staying at least six feet away. Staff on duty will not leave the desk area in order to maintain correct social distancing criteria. Patrons can use the book drop or bins by the front door for all returned materials. All materials checked in to the library will be quarantined for a minimum of 48-hours before returning to circulation per the CDC. Staff will have discretion on asking patrons to leave if they are not adhering to guidelines. No programs/classes per Governor’s orders. Curbside pickup will continue for those who are not comfortable entering the building. Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church service schedule is pending. Pastor Nedbalek’s sermons are available for viewing on their Facebook page. Round Top-Carmine ISD
Round Top - Carmine ISD will remain closed for the rest of the school year. Students will continue to receive instructions and assignments through the current system. High School classwork will be distributed and turned in on Mondays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Elementary classwork will be distributed and turned in on Mondays from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. In addition, RT-C is providing free drive-thru lunch and breakfast to students from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday for children 18 and under. The Class of 2020 will be honored this Friday, May 8 with a senior parade. For all those who wish to support the seniors with this fun event, please arrive at the Round Top Rifle Association Hall by 5:50 p.m. on Friday to be lined up. All parade participants will remain in their vehicles with the windows rolledup. The parade will leave the hall at 5:55 p.m. from the back entrance and begin the route on Highway 237 with a police escort to the “Carmine Y.” The parade will pass in front of the high school where the seniors can be encouraged with signs, decorated vehicles and messages. Winedale

Festival Hill
The cultural and music events at Festival Hill scheduled for this year will resume on Saturday Aug. 22, which begins the August-to-April series. Festival Hill at 50, The History of Round Top Festival Institute is looking for sponsors. Deadline for inclusion in the book has been extended to Monday, June 1. The special performances to celebrate the 50th anniversary have been postponed to the beginning of June 2021. The 50th Anniversary Gala has been postponed to Saturday, Oct. 24.
Hermann Sons Life Lodge #151
Round Top Hermann Sons Life Lodge #151 will be awarding a Scholarship to one of their members who is a graduating high school senior of the Class of 2020 and has chosen to attend college or a vocational or technical school. Round Top - Warrenton VFD
The Round Top-Warrenton VFD’s Annual Feast and Fundraiser scheduled for May 16 has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
Shelby VFD
The Shelby VFD has postponed the 63rd Annual Feast and Fundraiser. Donations are still being accepted for equipment and other fire fighting necessities. If you would like more information on how to donate, send an email to shelbyvfd@yahoo.com.
