The Round Top-Carmine Independent School District has announced its Honor Graduates of the Class of 2020. Julia Patterson has been named the Valedictorian. Julia is the daughter of Randall and Linda Patterson. Aidan Wagner has been named the Salutatorian. Aidan is the son of Jason and Karen Wagner.

The La Grange School Board made two management hires Monday.

The coronavirus pandemic robbed a lot of high school seniors of the most memorable time in school – the final weeks before graduation. That’s the time for reminiscing, prom and banquets. For some, though, the pandemic brought a new experience – a taste of adulthood before leaving home.

As retail stores, restaurants, museums and other businesses slowly reopen, many local churches are also taking extra precautions to make sure their congregations are ready to come back.

The Schulenburg Public Library will start limited curbside service on May 12. Curbside service will be available from Tuesday through Friday.

As La Grange small businesses continue to suffer financial fallout due to the coronavirus pandemic, the City of La Grange’s Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has expanded funding to provide additional financial relief. The EDC has designated $40,000 to fund a City of La Grange utilities grant to help cover utility costs associated with small businesses impacted by COV- ID-19. Businesses must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible:
