The Capital Area Food Truck will be in Fayetteville on Tuesday, June 30, from 10-11 a.m. The truck will be at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Recreation Hall. This will be drive-thru only.

What started as a fun date night idea six years ago for Paul and Kelli Biles of Warda has turned into a hobby of beekeeping. The Biles thought they would have a fun date night by attending Round Rock Honey, a company that introduces people to beekeeping. Speaking with Kelli Biles, she said, “It was fascinating. You get to suit up and it’s very much a hands-on class.”

Texas A&M University College of Nursing researchers are working with rural health care providers to increase access to quality care in Central Texas. These collaborative partnerships will integrate behavioral health and primary care services in rural health clinics to enhance patient care while providing education and training opportunities for future nurse leaders.

Some La Grange Roadrunners gathered together for a brown bag social this past weekend. The group has not been out and about since the first week of March. Members noted it felt great to be able to get together and be able to bring each one up on what each has been doing for the past three months.

The La Grange City Council approved two tourism grant requests for billboard signs. The signs will be used to advertise the community as a tourism destination.

The Billy Mike and Bobbie Jean Roberts Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards were announced earlier this year online (rather than at a sports banquet) because of coronavirus precautions. Just recently, the winners of the award, Marcus Darden II and Mikaylee Supak (above) actually got to see the huge trophies that will bear their names alongside the other previous years’ winners of the award.
