The B Haus nursery will host an organizational meeting to establish a new chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas on Saturday, Nov. 15, 382 FM 2672 (High Hill Road) in Schulenburg. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. followed by Colton Bubela’s lecture on trees at 10 a.m. Charter Members can sign up between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Native Plant Society of Texas promotes conservation, research and utilization of native plants and habitats of Texas. Two Caught Trying to Steal Metal at Winkler’s

Fayette Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on November 5, at approximately 3:16 a.m., Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Mosqueda was dispatched to Winkler’s Electric at 1513 U.S. Highway 77 North in Schulenburg in reference to a reported theft in progress.
