Four individuals spoke at Monday night’s school board meeting. Two of them spoke against the proposed child and adult care food program to offer free suppers.

On the same spot where people drove through to get tested for COVID at the Fairgrounds almost a year ago, Monday people sat in their cars for 15 minutes making sure they didn’t have any adverse reactions to COVID vaccines.

La Grange Chief of Police, David Gilbreath, reports that on Tuesday, March 23, at 7:45 a.m., La Grange Police Officer John Wostarek responded to a three-vehicle accident in the 800 block of North Jefferson Street.

Daniel and Sara Velazquez of La Grange are happy to announce the birth of a son, Beau Alexander Velazquez, who arrived on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 6:21 p.m. at Columbus Community Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and measured 20.5 inches in length.

Out and About Pam Sheffield enjoyed having her family come in to celebrate her grandson Benjamin Holland’s birthday. Also coming out to celebrate were Pam’s other daughter and son in law, Dawson and Allison Williford of Cypress along with their two dogs, Zeppy and Willie.

Second Chance Emporium recently donated $2,000 to the newly incorporated City of Ellinger. Monies donated will provide start up funds for the city to begin addressing infrastructure, water and sewer needs. La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath Reports on the following incidents his department responded to for the week of March 7-14: Deadly Conduct March 13 - Meinardus responded to the 900 block of S. Madison where caller stated that she sent her brother-in-law and his friend to pick up furniture from her old home when her ex-boyfriend became angry and shot at them.
