The Fayette County Firefighter’s Association reports the following calls for the week of June 6-12: Grass Fires - 2 Medical - 13 Accidents - 3 Vehicle Fire - 1 Fire Alarms - 2.

Food Bank Truck The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction of FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Friday, June 18 from 10 until 11 a.m. It will be drive-thru only and all clients are to remain in their vehicles.

La Grange Man Dies in Auto Accident

A local man died early Sunday morning in a crash at the intersection of FM 609 and SH 71 Business on the west side of La Grange. According to a report from La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, the crash happened at 12:18 a.m.

Bethany Vaughan, a 22-yearold Houston native, came to Festival Hill in Round Top this summer to learn from some of the greats in classical music. She attended a visual arts magnet middle school in Houston, where she switched to trumpet and began learning jazz.

Boehnke Celebrates Grandson’s Engagement

Dana and Darrell Kulak along with grandpa Devon Boehnke drove to Boling to attend their son Elton Kulak and soon to be daughter in law Miko Anderson’s wedding shower. It was held in the Boiling Fire Department building and the theme was the Great Gatsby and everyone dressed in the roaring 20s. There were lots of wonderful snacks to satisfy those who took the effort to dress up and come out to celebrate the couple. They had a blast catching up with old friends and celebrating the upcoming nuptials.

People come to the Center to have some fun while visiting with friends and neighbors. They play table games like 42, Moon, Bunco, and other domino games.
