Food Bank Truck
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction of FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Friday, June 18 from 10 until 11 a.m. It will be drive-thru only and all clients are to remain in their vehicles. Someone will be there to direct traffic. Clients are advised to make room inside their car trunks and truck beds. Food boxes will be pre-packaged and placed into each vehicle by volunteers. Health safety guidelines will continue, requiring clients and volunteers to wear face masks and to social distance.
St. Michael’s Picnic
Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester will hold its Annual Picnic at the park in downtown Winchester on Saturday, June 19. Seating and activities will take place outside and also in the air-conditioned pavilion. Beginning at 3 p.m., enjoy the beer and soda stand. Washer tournament registration also opens at 3 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 4 p.m. A barbecue meal consisting of pork or chicken, potato salad, noodles, beans, bread and iced tea and dessert for $12 will served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. To-go plates will also be available. Remaining barbecue will be sold by the pound at 6:30 p.m. A live auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a bounce house for the kids. A portion of the picnic proceeds are dedicated to Congregational Tuition Assistance for Lutheran Schools.
Knights of Columbus Barbecue
The Fayetteville/Ellinger Knights of Columbus are cooking this Sunday, June 20. Barbecue ribs, chicken and sausage will be ready starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s barbecue pits in Fayetteville. Call to reserve your order at (917) 249-6003. The CDA will have barbecue sauce and side dishes for sale.

Fayette Water Supply Corporation will be conducting a meeting of the Board of Directors on Monday, June 21, at 5:15 p.m. at the FWSC office located at 200 Bordovsky Road in La Grange. All members are encouraged to attend.

CVQG Guest Speaker Glenda Wilder
Join the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild on Tuesday, June 22 at 7 p.m. to welcome guest presenter, Glenda Wilder. Based in Houston, Glenda is a highly talented quilt designer and owner of Glenda Wilder Designs. Glenda specializes in quilt patterns that appeal to makers with an eye for contemporary design. Her lecture is titled “Quilting: Traditional, Modern & Everything In-Between” and we know you will be delighted by the color, variety and vibrance of her Trunk Show. The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 Pearl Street, LaGrange. Meetings begin at 10 a.m. on even months, and at 7 p.m. on odd months.
Blood Drive Location Change
The location for the La Grange Community Blood Drive to be held on Wednesday, June 23 has been changed from the La Grange Knights of Columbus Hall to the First United Methodist Church - Fellowship Hall located at 1215 N. Von Minden St.
Animal Shelter Garage Sale
The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is holding a garage sale to benefit the fur babies. Gently used items will be for sale at the shelter June 25 and 26 beginning at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 240 Svoboda Lane in La Grange. Come out to shop and you may also find a “furever” friend to take home with you.
Vacation Bible School At FUMC

Muldoon Baptist Church Schedule
