It makes you proud to be an American seeing it waving its colors against a clear blue sky. Many American citizens are proudly displaying flags in their yards and businesses.

In 1958 I was a freshman at La Grange High School. I was born and raised on a farm six miles south of La Grange and grew up in an old farm house built in the early 1900s. It was an “L” shaped house with the original wood shingle roof. I slept in the attic along with my older brother George, Jr. The roof was in serious decay and needed replacing for the longest.

The theft of several Democratic signs in my neighborhood and about the city is disturbing. Four were stolen from my yard.

To the Editor: The headline story for the July 31 edition of the Record was that the State counted 12 deaths from COVID in Fayette County while the County counted only five. There was subsequently another fatality bringing the State count to 13.

To the Editor: We are witnessing our culture, history, heroes, traditions, lifestyles and spiritual fellowships being purged from our collective memories. The very multi-ethnicity that made America so special is being weaponized to destroy us on the altar of political correctness and socialist group think.

To the editor: You force others to inject themselves with dangerous substances so You feel safe. You force others to cover their source of oxygen for months so You feel safe.

To the Editor: I am responding to David DeLuca’s letter which appeared in the Aug. 7 edition of the Record.

To the Editor: We have often heard that success in business is a strong recommendation for political office, even the office of the U.S. president.

To the Editor: Nancy Pelosi now wants the federal government to bailout Democratic-led towns and cities, either for being in the red for many past years or for financial aid to help with clean up and repair for cities destroyed by looters, rioters and so-called peaceful protestors. Democratic mayors and governors have let this go on for weeks, while ordering police to stand down.
