Downtown Muldoon has been busy this past week with railroad crews replacing the main crossing on FM 2237. They have slowly been replacing the crossings all along FM 154 and this was just the latest. This did cause some incontinence for those traveling on East FM 2237 who needed to get onto FM 154. They were rerouted on the county road over to the other crossing.

The Zoch Family 40th Biennial Reunion will be held on July 10-11. The reunion will begin on July 10 at 1 p.m. at the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum in Serbin with a tour of the museum, Church and cemetery. On July 11 the family, including all descendants of Johann and Johanna (Schneider) Zoch and Christian and Maria (Schneider) Zoch, will meet at the St. Michael’s Picnic Grounds and Pavilion beginning at 10 a.m. in Winchester Texas. There will be a barbecue meal, business meeting and elections. Playground and outdoor activities will happen throughout the day. You are asked to bring a dessert, pictures and items for the silent auction.

To say I’ve missed certain things during this year-plus of Covid 19 shutdown is an understatement. Prior to the pandemic, life happened in the streets of San Miguel de Allende. parades, festivals, fiestas, holiday celebrations all took to the streets to acknowledge the Mexican sense of fun, playfulness, and traditions.
