Hope Hill Needed Tweaking

Sorry Mr. Jackson, but your putdown in the June 11 Record of Mr. Rabensburg and your glowing report on Hope Hill’s fail to recognize that Hope Hill in its present form does not resemble the original plan for that project. The citizens of La Grange and the homeowner’s at Hope Hill should thank Mr. Rabensburg and the Citizens Alliance every day for questioning and ultimately defeating the land trust idea this project started out as.

And, by the way, it is not enough merely to extol the volunteers of the Disaster Recovery Team. While I acknowledge their hearts and hands were probably in the right place and they expanded a lot of effort, without the huge amount of money from Samaritan’s Purse nothing of this scale could have been done. It must be acknowledged that Samaritan’s Purse is funded by thousands, maybe millions, of kind, generous, Christians, many doing this sacrificially at a great cost to their own fiscal well being, throwing in their widow’s mite, my late aunt being one of them.
