Assault on Truth

To the editor: Not only was there an assault on our Capitol and our Democracy, but there is an ongoing assault on the truth. I watched the assault on our capitol in real time with sadness, horror, and anger.

Value Our Freedoms

To the editor: No matter our color, background, or party, most Texans and Americans value our freedoms. A Caring Community

To The Editor: Thanks to everyone who made our Community Garage Sale benefiting Officer Curtis Zwahr’s family a success. This includes those who donated merchandise, those who purchased it, and those who made monetary donations.

To the editor: Because I have voted as a Republican and as a Democrat, I felt a responsibility to attend the July 21 Fayette County Republican Women’s meeting. The guest speaker was Treniss Evans, who is awaiting trial for the obstruction of justice on January 6, for violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and for knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building in connection to the insurrection.

REMEMBER WHEN?

June 28, 1972 In 1969, the average Fayette County family income was $4,638 compared with $8,490 for the state, according to a 1970 census report. Per capita income for the county was $2,101.
