Bulldog Baseball Wins Three

The Flatonia Bulldog baseball team opened up their 2025 season with three victories last week. The Bulldogs first win came vs the Gonzales Apaches last Monday by a 14-2 score.

Lady Leps Show Power Surge

Before the game was called because of malfunctioning lights Tuesday, it only took the Lady Leps softball team a few minutes to show they were the better team than Nixon-Smiley. The La Grange girls jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the one inning played.

Double Duty Dahse

Leopards Senior Shining on the Golf Course and the Diamond For La Grange La Grange senior Braxton Dahse is pulling double duty and starring for two La Grange athletic teams at the same time. As a golfer he’s led the Leopard golf team to several tourney championships and runner-up titles as well as finishing as the first or second place individual golfer in all the tournaments this season.

Locals Shine at Leopard Relays

Hundreds of athletes competed in La Grange Thursday as the Leopard Relays were held. The La Grange girls finished first in the varsity standings out of nine teams.

Diamond Round-Up

The La Grange softball team went 6-1 at the Seguin Tourney Thursday through Saturday, beating Pearsall 5-2, Edinburg North 8-1, Clemens 4-3, Medina Valley 5-1 and the Lady Hawks 5-0 before falling to Andrews 7-2. The Lady Leps (8-6) host Nixon Smiley Tuesday.

Lions Fall in Quarterfinals

The Fayetteville basketball team lost in the state quarterfinals Friday in Humble 7970 to Brookeland. This was a rematch of last year’s state quarterfinal, which was won by Fayetteville, but this time the Wildcats (29-7) prevailed and they advance to face Perrin-Whitt in the 1A semis.
