Lions Fall in Quarterfinals

The Fayetteville basketball team lost in the state quarterfinals Friday in Humble 7970 to Brookeland.

This was a rematch of last year’s state quarterfinal, which was won by Fayetteville, but this time the Wildcats (29-7) prevailed and they advance to face Perrin-Whitt in the 1A semis.

Fayetteville ends its season with a 27-9 overall record.
