Diggs 6th in Conference in the 200

La Grange native Austen Digs made it to the podium as a freshman Saturday in the 200 meters at the Big 12 Conference Indoor meet at Texas Tech University. He placed 6th in the 200 meters with a time of 21.10. The top eight that made it to the finals all went to the podium and received a medal. Lady Leps Shine at Regional Powerlifting

Five La Grange Girls Powerlifters Advanced to Regionals. Ewalany Gonzalez earned third place in her class. Judith Soto earned fifth place in her class. Diamond McKenzie was sixth place in her class. Fayetteville Boys Basketball Team Advances to State Quarterfinals

The Fayetteville Lions boys basketball team overcame an early deficit to rally for a 74-66 victory over Wells in the regional semifinals Tuesday night in Madisonville. Jack Schley led the Lions with 21 points. Easton Jaeger scored 12, Mason Fenhaus had 11, Lawson Fritsch and Brody Dooley each had eight, Kole Schmitt had seven and Chance Konvicka scored six.

Brenek Qualifi es for State Powerlifting

Schulenburg Lady Horn powerlifter Cora Brenek (above, center)) won first place in her division at the regional powerlifting meet in Edinburg on Monday, Feb. 24. Brenek, a sophomore, lifted a combined 880 lbs. She will now advance to the state meet. Another Lady Horn, junior Katry Kobza (below, right), also lifted at regionals, finishing fifth place in her division.

5th, Renee Hilscher went to support her teammates and help as a manager, Kadence Courville totaled 605 and placed 9th, NaShawna Willis totaled 695 and placed 4th.
