La Grange native Austen Digs made it to the podium as a freshman Saturday in the 200 meters at the Big 12 Conference Indoor meet at Texas Tech University. Last year the Fayetteville Lions made it to the state basketball semifinals for the first time in 81 years. This year’s Lions are in the midst of a 17-game win streak and one win away from getting back to the state semifinals.

The Fayetteville Lions boys basketball team overcame an early deficit to rally for a 74-66 victory over Wells in the regional semifinals Tuesday night in Madisonville. Jack Schley led the Lions with 21 points. Easton Jaeger scored 12, Mason Fenhaus had 11, Lawson Fritsch and Brody Dooley each had eight, Kole Schmitt had seven and Chance Konvicka scored six.

The La Grange boys soccer team lost a heartbreaker at Caldwell Tuesday 7-6 in penalty kicks. The game was tied 3-3 after regulation.
