Texas Ramp Project The Texas Ramp Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides free wheelchair ramps to lowincome older adults and people with disabilities identified by local health care providers. Ramps are built exclusively with volunteer labor, keeping costs to a minimum and are built without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, age, or gender.

Seniors Enjoy Movie at Lyric Theater

Jennifer Moring, bank manager at the Fayette Savings Bank in Weimar, and one of our esteemed board members, was the Lunch & Learn speaker on Monday, Jan. 9 and she was so personable that everyone really enjoyed her presentation. She serves on the Weimar Chamber of Commerce board and is an active Weimar Rotary member, as well as having a full family life.
This group of seniors enjoyed at matinee movie at the Lyric Theatre in Flatonia.

Fundraiser to Benefit Texas Wendish Heritage Scholarship Program

The Texas Wendish Heritage Society Scholarship Program Fundraiser will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Wendish Museum in Serbin. This will be a drivethru only meal of grilled pork steak, a cup of bird wedding soup, Wendish noodles, green beans, corn and pickles. Tickets are available through Wednesday Jan. 18 and are $15, presale only. Great Shed Sale Benefits Festival Institute Jan. 18

The Great Shed Sale will begin Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Festival Hill. This event benefits the Round Top Festival Institute in collaboration with The Arbors Round Top. Come out for a fantastic shopping experience. An $80 ticket includes an early preview and access to purchase one-of-kind items and bid on the silent auction items, “Party on the Plaza” starting at 6 p.m. with sumptuous creations by Festival Institute’s talented Chef Link and music by DJ Mr. Torian of Austin, two drinks at the cash bar of beer and wine, a live auction beginning at 7 p.m. with items such as vacation getaways and more.
