Great Shed Sale Benefits Festival Institute Jan. 18
The Great Shed Sale will begin Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Festival Hill. This event benefits the Round Top Festival Institute in collaboration with The Arbors Round Top. Come out for a fantastic shopping experience. An $80 ticket includes an early preview and access to purchase one-of-kind items and bid on the silent auction items, “Party on the Plaza” starting at 6 p.m. with sumptuous creations by Festival Institute’s talented Chef Link and music by DJ Mr. Torian of Austin, two drinks at the cash bar of beer and wine, a live auction beginning at 7 p.m. with items such as vacation getaways and more.

The Great Shed Show continues to the general public on Thursday-Sunday, Jan. 19-22 (9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday) along with shopping with our select Arbor dealers. While browsing, take a break to enjoy a light lunch selection at Café Caffeine at the lower Chapel on the Plaza. Staying true to the Arbors tradition, stick around and enjoy Happy Hour each day from 3-6 pm with live music and drinks while you shop!! Parking is always free! Winter Antiques Show
The Winter Antiques Show is set for Jan. 19 - 22. Booths will be set up in Burton, Carmine, Round Top, and Warrenton. This is a smaller, more intimate show, but you’re still sure to find lots of great treasures.
Live Events
April Hall will play at Busted Oak Cellars on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 3-6 p.m. First Friday Bingo Night Jan. 13 from 6-8 p.m. $5 will get you a bingo card to play until prizes run out. They will also be selling pizza by the slice.
The Stone Cellar is closed the first week of January. The Broken Cover Group plays Friday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. The Bad455’s play Saturday at 7 p.m., and Christopher Helms plays Sunday at 4 p.m.
Round Top Rifle Hall
You have one more chance this month to catch a Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Hamburger Social. Jan. 16 come out from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for dinner, drinks and great conversation. The signature menu item is a delicious, hearty hamburger, fixed just the way you like it. The Rooster is a breaded chicken sandwich with a tangy “special sauce.” Hotdogs or Chili dogs are another favorite, along with fries or onion rings.

Round Top Family Library The Round Top Family Library is open Monday from 1:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Closed on Sundays.
Yoga is Mondays at 5 p.m., Art After School is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m., Chess Club is Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., and Kids Garden is Thursdays at 4 p.m.
If you are interested in joining a men’s book club, please let the Library know. You will be invited to come to a meeting to learn more about it.
The 18th annual RTFL Chili Cook-Off is set for Saturday, Jan. 21 at The Stone Cellar. Tickets are $10, and children under 12 are free. Enjoy greattasting chili, vote for your favorite team, and dance to music from the Black Cat Choir. All proceeds benefit the RTFL.

The Round Top Area Historical Society museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m. Take the opportunity to view three historical homes and a historical church. WELCA Bible Study at Bethlehem Lutheran Church was held Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor John David Nedbalek leading the lesson on the Ten Commandments. Number one-you should have no other Gods before me; meaning we are to fear, love, and trust God above all things. God’s law is a great gift - one to celebrate with joy. Unfortunately, it is the church whose overall numbers and status are declining. Each time God’s name is mentioned, we should remember all that God had been and done on our behalf. Joys Baird served as hostess. The next lesson will be on Feb. 2.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Worship service at 8 a.m. followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Game Day is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. Bring a snack, board game, dominoes, etc. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Noisy offering is the third Sunday of each month.
