Play Bingo Saturday in Ellinger

Bingo will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the chamber hall (104 W. Colorado Sky) with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. Games will begin at 6 p.m. Food and drinks will be served that evening. There will be a Halloween costume contest with $1,500 in prizes. The categories will be: Individual, Couple, Group (4+ people) and Youth.

Fayette County was recently recognized for its participation in the Disaster Risk Infrastructure Program for under Resourced Texas communities (DRIP), a program aimed at helping communities that experience regular flooding to be better prepared.

La Grange Volunteer Fire Department Announces Fire Poster Contest Winners

La Grange Volunteer Fire Department presented awards for their annual fire poster contest at La Grange Elementary and Sacred Heart School in La Grange on Friday, Oct. 13. Trophies were awarded for winners and honorable mention (HM) in four age divisions at each school. The Fayette County Firefighters Association awards county-wide winners for the fire poster contest on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

October is here and has brought Fall with it. We do love having some lower humidity, milder temperatures, and we did get some good rain, for which we are thankful for. The gratitude season is upon us, with the sweet scent of pumpkin spice and cinnamon lingers in the air.
