Stephen Sachnik of the Quilted Skein quilt shop, will host a free event of wonderful stories of world famous textile designer and quilt artist, Kaffe Fassett; followed by a walking tour of Kaffe’s colorful exhibit currently on display “85 and Fabulous.”

Bob Springer Memorial Classic Car Show Saturday

The annual Bob Springer Memorial Classic Car Show will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on East Sylvan Street in Carmine. This is the southside frontage road of Hwy 290. Admission is free. Directors are David Conner and Bob Dormois. Come early to register.

Sponsors are Carmine State Bank and Carmine Economic Development Corporation. Texas Grillmates BBQ sandwiches will be available.

M Pam and Ron Knotts were in Austin recently for a long weekend to celebrate Pam’s birthday. They stayed in a downtown hotel and had a room on the 16th floor with a great view of 6th Street and the Austin skyline.
