Three times Friday Flatonia rallied to tie their game against Thrall. But they weren’t able to put together a fourth rally as Thrall escaped with a 28-21 win over the Bulldogs.

The Freshmen Leps football team took on Somerville’s JV team Thursday at home and won 43-6. It was a great team effort by the Leps to improve to 3-2 going into the bye week. Touchdowns were scored by Eli Gillium, Dillian Johnson, Dwodney Thompson and Luke Anderson along with 2-pt. conversions from Sterling Walla and Luke Anderson. The Leps now go into their bye week as they prepare for their district schedule.

The La Grange varsity volleyball team defeated Austin Achieve Friday 25-15, 2512, 25-14 as the Lady Leps improved to 14-20 overall and 2-2 in district. Carley Ulrich led La Grange in kills Friday with nine and Kylie Trlicek had seven.

One week after we had eight perfect ballots, nobody was able to get all 10 games right in our reader pick-it contest last week. The Texans’ upset of the Jaguars and Thrall’s upset of Flatonia knocked out a lot of otherwise perfect ballots. So that means that

The Leopards treated a big homecoming crowd to an offensive showcase Friday that earned La Grange its first win of the season. La Grange and Splendora combined for 110 points and nearly 1,000 yards of offense before the Leps prevailed 6347.
