Betty Joy Doss Yoakum of Fayetteville died at Brenham Nursing and Rehab on Oct. 2, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer.

Ervan Zouzalik passed away peacefully on Nov. 4, 2022, and went to his heavenly home at the age of 86.

Kipp Funeral services for James Kipp, 70 of Spicewood, are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester with Rev. Nate Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchester City Cemetery.

Funeral services for Kenneth Lehmann, 94 of Ledbetter, were scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. John Waak officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the Giddings American LegionYork Post 276, followed in the Ledbetter Cemetery.

Jason Avery Smothers of Hallettsville passed away at the age of 37 on Oct. 10, 2022.

Elizabeth Ruth Kappler, 93, of Austin, passed away peacefully in her sleep and called home to her Heavenly Father Nov. 3, 2022.

Samantha Holub passed away Oct. 27, 2022, after a yearlong battle with a rare form of lung cancer.

Sheron Ann (Askew) Zapalac, 74, of La Grange, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022.

With heavy hearts, we share that Gloria Klein Frame passed away suddenly on Friday, October 28, 2022. Gloria was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Josef and Elizabeth Rimmele (Lilly) Klein and resided there until moving to Houston at the age of eighteen. Gloria was an accomplished pianist, but pretty quickly decided she looked better in a tennis dress and became quite the competitive tennis player instead. She attended Vanderbilt University before transferring to the University of Houston to be closer to family.
