Larry Gene Treybig, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022. Larry was born in La Grange on Nov. 7, 1944, the son of the late Earline (Plagens)and Elton Treybig. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1963, where he participated in basketball, baseball, and FFA. He then attended Blinn Jr. College of Brenham, driving a shuttle bus as a part time job. He went on to receive a bachelor’s degree of Science in Agriculture from Sam Houston State University in 1968. Larry worked for Farmers Home Administration in Palestine, Crockett, and Caldwell for several years, along with First State Bank of Deanville. In addition, Larry was employed by Mayer Realty and the Fayette County Appraisal District. In later years he operated lawn maintenance and fencing businesses.

Howard Francis Gready Jr. was born on March 4, 1945 in Houston, to Vivian Fargerson Gready and Howard Gready Sr. He passed away on Aug. 11, 2022. He is survived by his sister, Anne Wright; brother, James T. Gready and wife Patti; four nieces: Tracey Madeleine Rice, Jessica Karlsruher (David), Cathleen Fishel (Michael) and Erin Anne Gready; and nieces’ children: Connealy Karlsruher, Duke Karlsruher, Caroline Fishel and Charlotte Fishel.

Theft of an almost new English- made Ford 3000 diesel tractor at Muldoon some 10 months ago brought five-year prison terms to two men tried in the 155th District Court in La Grange. The tractor was taken from the Parker A. Lueders place near Muldoon on Oct. 15, 1971. However, it wasn’t until earlyAugust that the two men were apprehended near Fort Worth at Weatherford. In addition to the five-year sentence meted out in Fayette County, the pair received the same sentence in Gonzales County where they were tried for a similar offense. Audrey Elaine Ryan passed the evening of Saturday, July 9, 2022 at her home in Greens Graveside services will be held at Giddings City Cemetery at 10 a.m., Aug. 15, 2022 with Tim Pitts officiating. Audrey Elaine Ryan was born on Dec. 15, 1932, to Emmett “E.V.” and Aletha (Newlin) Graff in Galena Park. Audrey married her late husband of nineteen years, Theodore Ryan, at Ellington Air force Base in Houston in 1952. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Paul and Lisa. Audrey enjoyed listening to music, playing her numerous instruments, and operating her Ham Radio as AA5GL. She loved being outdoors, reading, fishing, painting, problemsolving, repainting things, and keeping up with current events. Audrey will be fondly remembered for her skill in hunting for bargains and treasures on sale.

Our beloved Gary L. Keeton, 66 left this world on Aug. 5, 2022. He passed away peacefully at his home, Edger Alley, in Independence, Texas. His wife Sherry was by his side. He was a special and beautiful soul. A man with many talents. He was a musician and singer, mechanic, great athlete and could build anything with his hands. Gary left his beautiful gifts all over Brenham and surrounding counties with the projects he completed for others. He left his music and melodies across Texas as well. He loved his family fiercely. He was so proud of his grandchildren. He also loved his Houston Astros.

Raymond Lee Latham II of La Grange was born Aug. 31, 1960 and passed away July 27,2022. He was a Veteran of the US Navy who served from 1978-1982 on the USS Bronstein andthe USS Duluth. He is survived by three siblings, Rex (Pamela) Latham of La Grange; Ruby Latham -Townsend of Helena, Mont.; Rhonda Latham-Keeney of Helena, Mont.; 21 nephews and nieces, 18 great nephews and nieces, three great-great nephews and neices; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and longtime family friend Eva Caine and familyof La Grange.
