Kleiber

Angelina “Angie” (Dittrich) Kleiber, 87, of La Grange, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022. Angelina was born in High Hill on Jan. 6, 1935, the daughter of Paul Dittrich Sr., and Hedwig (Ripper) Dittrich.

Angelina married Paul Joseph Kleiber on April 28, 1957 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in High Hill. They raised a son, David and a daughter, Shirley.

Angie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, CDA, VFW Auxiliary and Alter Society. She enjoyed volunteering and did so with several organizations in La Grange. Angie was a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always had a smile on her face and easily made conversation and friends. Angie enjoyed cooking and made amazing crock pickles! Angie spent most of her time on the farm and she loved taking care of the animals and tending to her garden.

Angie is survived by her children, David Kleiber and wife, Debbie (Eberle) of La Grange; Shirley (Kleiber) Cox and husband, Troy of Arlington; sister: Helen (Dittrich) Janda and husband, Arnold, of Swiss Alp; brothers: Paul Dittrich, Jr. and wife, Katherine of Schulenberg; Andrew Dittrich and wife, Becky of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren: Lindsey (Kleiber) Fojtik and husband, Trent; Courtney (Kleiber) Hoffman and husband, Doug; Ryan Kleiber; Trenton Cox and wife, Jenna; and Reagan Cox; greatgranddaughters: Addison Fojtik, Emerson Fojtik and Hannah Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul J. Kleiber; sister, Cleo Wenske and brother; Clarence Dittrich, along with a number of brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law.

Visitation was held on Monday, Oc. 3, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family received friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A Holy Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 539 E. Pearl St., La Grange, on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery.
