Blinn College-Schulenburg course offers guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs. Non-credit community education course taught by Majek Vineyard and Winery executive community members interested in starting their own business can gain practical insights this spring through a new course offered at the Blinn College-Schulenburg Campus.

ACCSS 5K to Kick Off Schulenburg Sausagefest

When one hears the word Sausagefest, strapping on your running shoes and going for a jog is not usually the first thing to come to mind. On Saturday, April 11, however, you are invited to change the perception by participating in our ACCSS 5K to be held in conjunction with the Schulenburg Sausagefest. A 5K in the morning will earn you a few extra samples that afternoon at the festivities in downtown Schulenburg.

AMEN Serves 902, Adds Days

The AMEN Food Pantry thanks all in the community that provided food assistance for the month of February. This would include all that provided monetary donations, food drives and theAMEN Gardens.

There will be a showing of the film “Crosby” at La Grange Church of Christ on Sunday, March 8 at 9 a.m. followed by a question and answer period with Lorenza Crosby, Jackson Elliott, and others featured in the film. The film was directed by LGISD student Jackson Elliott and it made it to the state semi-finals. The film is about the life of Lorenza Crosby and his time as a teacher at Randolph High School and later La Grange High School. This showing is open to the public. Coffee and donuts will be available.

Coleman Qualifies for State in Powerlifting

Four La Grange High School girls athletes competed at the regional powerlifting meet in Edinburg this week. Jazzmin Coleman (top, left) placed second in her weight class to advance to state.
