Bethlehem Lutheran to Host Lenten Services for Crossroads Ministry

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top is hosting all the Lenten worship services for the Crossroads Lutheran Ministry on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. with the Rev. John David Nedbalek leading the services. On March 11, Waldeck Evangelical Lutheran Church will provide the meal at 6 p.m.

Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m.

AA meeting is Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Worship with Holy Communion, observing the Fourth Sunday in Lent, is Sunday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Donna Wright serving as the guest pastor.

Domino party is Monday at 1 p.m.

RT-C School News 

Round Top-Carmine ISD is on Spring Break through March 13.

High School baseball team will play a double-header on March 10 at Somerville with the first game beginning at 10 a.m. The team hosts Milano on March 17 at 5:30 p.m. The future cubs will be recognized.

Looking ahead, March 23 is an early release day, when classes will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

At the end of February, Dr. Marek’s English I class had the opportunity to attend Romeo and Juliet at the Blinn College Performing Arts Center. Many thanks to Mr. Brad Nies, Director and Professor of Theatre Arts, along with the entire Blinn College Theatre Arts Program, for their hospitality and for sharing their time, talent, and passion with the RT-C students. Experiences like this bring literature to life and make learning truly memorable.

All-district basketball honors have been announced. They are: Co-Defensive MVP-Madison Markwardt; Co-Newcomer of the year-Morgan Nelius; First Team All-District-Bree Dooley and Avery Lamson; Second Team All-District-Jaylen Bage, Hayden Kasmiersky, Cayden Nelius, and Liliana Salinas.

Visitors’ Center 

The Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot and Museum is open on the second Friday and Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.2 p.m. It is located at 248 E Sylvan, Carmine, TX 78932, which is on the south side of Highway 290.
