Judge Dan Mueller, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, announces that he is seeking the office of Fayette County Judge. Mueller is a 4th generation resident of the County. He attended St. Rose School and Bishop Forest High School in Schulenburg, and the University of Texas in San Antonio. He has lived in Fayette County all his life.

The Rotary Club of La Grange recently participated in the Christmas Angel Project. Through this project, they provided toy and winter clothing requests for children who are fostered through the Fayette County Child Welfare Board. The La Grange High School Interact Club donated funds to purchase a trampoline for a foster family caring for three siblings. Carmine Hall, a longtime community gathering spot in Fayette County, is renovating its cramped, outdated women’s restroom thanks to a $6,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.

Lane of Lights The annual Ledbetter Lane of Lights begins Thanksgiving weekend and runs until Christmas Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-9 p.m. at FM 1291 and Hwy.

An 18-wheeler spilled a load of cracked corn after rolling over on SH 159 Friday morning, Dec. 10.

Fayette County EMS has seen a record number of calls this year. EMS Director Josh Vandever said call volume increased from 3,500 at this time last year to one call shy of 3,900 this year.
