First Presbyterian Church to Present Christmas Cantata

The First Presbyterian Church of La Grange, under the musical direction of Laura Gillette, will present a Christmas cantata titled “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus” Sunday, Dec. 19 during worship beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Favorite hymns in a modern arrangement by Nashville musician Dave Clark will be narrated by Oliver Gunn, son of Seth and Mary Gunn. The choir will be accompanied by Miles Gillette Bockhorn, an award - winning pianist, music major at Baylor University and accompanist for the Baylor Men’s Choir.

Miles will join them again on Christmas Eve, playing with the voice and chime choirs, with Rebecca Stewart on flute.

There will also be a live nativity featuring the children of First Presbyterian Church. Worship begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 24. Please join us for these special services celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
