Zapalac Graduates from A&M

Kylee Zapalac, daughter of Patrick and Callene Zapalac, graduated Cum Laude on Dec. 18 from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science. She will be using her degree as an Agriculture Teacher for Jourdanton ISD starting in January. Kylee is a 2017 graduate of Schulenburg High School and the granddaughter of Henry and Betty Zapalac.

Presley’s Power Receives Donations

Presley’s Power received donations from Rhinestone Angel, Belinda Vinklarek family, the La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club and close friends. Presley’s Power appreciates the generosity to help make a difference in the fight for Childhood Cancer. Presley’s Power was able to make a large snack donation to Dell Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin as well thanks to the Noon Lions Club who donated snacks that were used to make that donation possible. LG Uncorked Will Be Popping Into 2022

Going into its ninth year, La Grange Uncorked has become a staple event in the downtown historic district. On average, 15 different wineries set up tasting locations in various boutiques and businesses on the Square. This year, ticket holders will be exposed to a variety of choices to sample from locally made mead to aged to perfection merlots. Not only is the selection of wine something to brag about but let’s not forget the one-of-akind gems that can be found on the Square.

Local Banks Donate $1,000 to Fayette County Crime Stoppers

Fayette County Crime Stoppers recently received a $1,000 donation from Carmine State Bank and Round Top State Bank. The organization was started in the 1983 suggested by Judge Dan R. Beck. Original members included Dan Mueller, Otto Steinhauser, John Cufr, Ray Elliott, and Jack Klesel.

Ellinger Chamber Donates to AMEN

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce along with Joe and Nancy Philabaum hosted a dance featuring the band SoundProof on Saturday, Nov. 20. Food donations and ticket sales, as well as a generous donation from the Ellinger Chamber Board resulted in a monetary donation of $250 towards the AMEN Food Pantry.
