Groundwater GM Deploying to Laredo with TX State Guard

Fayette County Groundwater Conservation District General Manager David Van Dresar took a leave of absence from the district to serve a deployment with the Texas State Guard. Van Dresar told the groundwater district board of directors that he will be deployed to Laredo.

Twenty-Seven Sign Up So Far to Sky-Dive for Habitat This Year

The sky is the limit as Fayette County Habitat for Humanity announces its 2nd Annual Habitat “Leap of Faith’’ Skydiving Fundraiser. This year’s event is looking for 30 participants to continue to help our neighbors across Fayette County who are suffering from living in inadequate or unsafe housing by raising a minimum fundraising goal of $750. This year’s event is scheduled for April 23.

The Bugle Boy Opens 18th Season With Two Sold-Out Shows

The Bugle Boy listening room in La Grange kicked off a brand new year of quality concerts over the weekend with back-to-back sold-out shows by Texas music icon Ray Wylie Hubbard. The Friday and Saturday night (Jan. 7-8) performances by the Wimberley-based Austin Music Hall of Famer marked Hubbard’s return to the Bugle Boy stage for the first time since January 2019 and the official start to the venue’s 18th season.
