Community Worship Service for Hostyn Set on Aug. 14
The La Grange Ministerial Alliance is planning a community-wide worship and praise service to benefit Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Parish in Hostyn. The service will take place Sunday, Aug. 14, from 4-6 p.m. at the KC Hall in La Grange.
“The idea is for all churches in La Grange to come together to honor the congregation of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church by praising God together and raising money to rebuild the sanctuary better than ever,” said Ed Murphy, who is helping to organize the event. “I presented the idea to the KCs last night in their newly rebuilt venue that was destroyed during Hurricane Harvey. Clearly, they have a great first hand appreciation for what it means to come together as a community.”
The Hostyn Parish lost their beloved church in a suspected natural gas explostion last Thursday, June 9.
“Our plan is to have praise musical groups come together to include a Gospel, Latino/Hispanic, a local based praise band, and perhaps a community choir in addition to a beautiful program by Ruby McGuill,” Murphy said.
Any churches or organizations who would like to participate or contribute to the event can call or text Murphy at (817) 360-6375.
