Four La Grange High School students drove their tractors to school Friday. Three of the students were seniors and the event was another sort of farewell to their school days, which are quickly coming to an end. Left to right, in the parking lot Friday morning were: Garrison Bage driving a 1956 Ferguson 40, Brendan Maddox driving a 1983 Ford 3610, Michael Kosler driving a 1978 case 1370 and Charlie Herbrich driving a 1951 Farmall super C Tricycle.

The Fayette County Elections Office will recount the ballots from the May 7 La Grange City Council Ward 4 election. Unofficial vote totals showed Arthur Bosque leading Chris Jernigan by just one vote, 51-50. Elections Administrator Terri Hefner said Jernigan requested a recount since the vote was so close.

The film “Breaking the Silence – Second Tour” will be presented at the Lyric Theater in Flatonia on Saturday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Breaking the silence are interviews with local Vietnam Veterans about their experiences in Vietnam.
