Texas Quilt Museum cofounders Karey Bresenhan and Nancy O’Bryant Puentes announced today that Vicki Mangum has been named the new Curator for the art facility. She takes the position over from Dr. Sandra Sider, who has been Curator since 2013 and recently announced her retirement. Dr. Sider will continue her connection to the Museum, however, as she has been named to its Board of Directors.

The Foundation was established in 1989, by Joseph and Victor Stanzel, co-founders and owners of Victor Stanzel Co., a model aircraft toy manufacturing company located in Schulenburg. Their seventy years of entrepreneurial endeavors affirm the importance of hard work, dedication, honesty, integrity, and focused vision. The first scholarships were awarded in 1991.
