La Grange High School and Middle School Libraries will be hosting a book fair Monday, Nov. 28 through Dec. 2 at the high school library. Signs will be posted. Books for all ages available. Hours are 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29; 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Nov. 30, 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1; and 8 a.m until 1:30 Dec. 2. On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Santa will be visiting the library book fair and the La Grange High School Technology class will be taking free pictures with Santa. Bring your children that day from 4:45 until 6 p.m.

Downtown Bathrooms Built; Now Who Is Going to Unlock Them?

The new office space and public restrooms have been completed at Founders Park on the square in downtown La Grange, but officials have yet to work out the details on when the restrooms will be open. Fayette County owns the pocket park, which is located next to the County Clerk’s office at 252 West Colorado St.

Advent Midweek Meals And Services Begin

The public is invited to join Advent Midweek Services as preparation for the Christmas celebration. This year’s theme is “Joy, Peace, Hope & Love.” Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton will have suppers at 6 p.m. and services at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings, Nov. 29, and Dec. 6, 13, and 20. Zion is located at 307 North Hackberry in Moulton.

Sacred Heart Altar Society Meets Nov. 7

The Sacred Heart Altar Society members met on Monday, Nov. 7, in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Parish Center. The meeting was opened with a prayer followed by the standard financial reports. Fifteen ladies attended the meeting.
