Arthur Bosque Running for Re-Election on LG City Council
My name isArthur Bosque and I am currently the Ward Four Councilmember here in La Grange. I previously served as Ward One Councilmember for seven years. I have lived in this community for 43 years. I am a member of Knights of Columbus Council #2574. I am on the Board of Directors for the Knights of Columbus Community Board. I am a member of the Holy Name Society and currently serve as President. I am currently a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and have been a member for 43 years. I served as a volunteer Fireman for eighteen years and am currently retired from firefighting. I served as a Little League and High School Umpire for 30 years.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
More than 300,000 Texans picked up a phone or logged on to their computer in FY 2022 to file a report of suspected child abuse or neglect. As a result of those reports, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services saw more than 37,000 confirmed investigations into allegations of child abuse and neglect through the year.
Coast to Coast Via La Grange: America on Two Wheels
Twenty-seven women from around the globe stayed the night in La Grange Monday as part of a group bicycling trip across the U.S. “This part of Texas, the hill country, has been the most beautiful of our entire trip so far, and the people have been the nicest,” said Laurie Singer, one of several who stopped at Latte on the Square, on their way to their overnight accommodations at The Best Western here.
