Deputy Nagel Makes Narcotics Arrest
Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Monday, April 10 at approximately 9:14 p.m. Deputy Seth Nagel observed a vehicle leaving a gas station in the 1800 block of West Travis St. in La Grange.
The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle that had been reportedly selling narcotics at the gas station per a Fayette County Narcotics Investigator.
The vehicle was displaying an expired registration tag. Deputy Nagel conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for this infraction.
When Deputy Nagel contacted the driver, he observed a smoked marijuana blunt in plain view.
The driver, who was identified as Damon Stewart of La Grange, admitted to the blunt containing marijuana.
A probable cause search was conducted and the following was located in the vehicle: 3.9 ounces of Marijuana, 33 grams of Methamphetamine, 17 grams of Ecstasy, and 1 THC Pen.
Stewart was arrested for the narcotics and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center where he was jailed and charged with multiple drug offenses.
