Habitat Store to Be Open Twice A Month Now

Exciting things are happening at Habitat Home Supply, located at 825 N. Main St. in Schulenburg. Starting this Saturday, April 15 they will be open twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Fayette County Habitat for Humanity is happy to announce that since opening the store in June of last year it has raised over $32,000 which goes towards supporting Habitat’s mission in Fayette County.

“We’re very excited to be expanding our sales days to twice a month. We couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful volunteers that come every week to help us process all the donations dropped off by the community. Diana Chafin and Mary Behal have really been taking the operation under their wings and getting us to the next level. We encourage folks to bring in their donations every Friday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and on sales days,” said Executive Director Kenny Couch.
