La Grange One-Act Play Advances

The La Grange High School UIL One Act Players competed at the District 22, 4A OAP contest on Wednesday- Thursday, March 8-9, at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. LHS’s play “Brave Navigator” by David Valdes Greenwood, was one of the three plays chosen to advance to the Bi-district competition on Tuesday-Wednesday, March 21-22, at the La Grange ISD PAC.

The Fayette County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, March 16, at The Wine Haus restaurant, 110 W. North Main St. in Flatonia. There will be two speakers, Amy Mundy, District Director from Texas Federation of Republican Women, will give a brief history of TFRW and its impact on Republican politics over the past several decades. Also, Josh Vandever, Fayette County EMS Director, will discuss how the recent changes in St. Mark’s Medical Center services may affect Emergency Medical Services in the county. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early if they plan to order dinner (Dutch treat). Wreck Monday on the Bypass

Two drivers escaped serious injury in a wreck at the dangerous intersection of SH 159 and SH 71 Bypass in La Grange Monday, March 6. The wreck happened around 2:40 p.m.
