The annual Wranglers Gala benefiting the Round Top Family Library is Saturday, Sept. 9 at Windy Knoll. Raffle tickets are now being sold to win a 2023 Club Car Onward. Drawing will be held the night of the gala - you don’t need to be there to win. Tickets for the Gala were sold out in record time. The 168th Annual Prazka Pout, or Praha Picnic, took place on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Praha. The picnic takes place every year on August 15, regardless of the day of week, since that date marks the feast day for the parish and a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics. This year the picnic fell on a Tuesday, but that didn’t stop thousands of visitors (including a group of seminarians from the Czech Republic), who flocked to the country church for Praha’s famous fried chicken and stew meal, along with musical entertainment throughout the day, games for the kids, bingo and a big auction.

F The old Church of Christ on the square has been generously donated to the City of Fayetteville. The potential use of the old church is currently under consideration.
