The old Church of Christ on the square has been generously donated to the City of Fayetteville. The potential use of the old church is currently under consideration. It may serve as a visitor center, an office for the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and serve other nonprofit organizations. Renovations respecting the integrity of the historical structure are underway. City of Fayetteville This Friday night at 5:30 p.m. a Town Hall meeting will be held in the City offices to discuss details of an architectural review board.

Westview Subdivision

The Westview subdivision on Hwy 159 came about in late 2017 and is well underway. The developers, Scott and Lori Marshall, had a vision to build classic homes with a farmhouse motif similar to what may have been in this town about 100 years ago. The Marshalls have called Fayetteville their home for 25 years and are currently building a new place in Westview. Scott is a real estate broker.

“Westview has a total of 22 lots that range in size from 1/3 to ½ an acre. A few people are building their home on two lots,” stated Scott. “We have underground power and utilities, with high speed internet coming—we’re looking at fiber optics. The minimum size home is 1200 sq. ft. Six homes are going in now and seven lots remain for sale. I’m estimating the subdivision will be full sometime late next year.” Contact Scott at (281) 468-1133 or email scottish1860@ gmail.com.
