Half Million Grant From EDC Pushes Fundraising Over Revised Goal The Hospital Center of Excellence (HCOE) says it has secured enough funding to take over the management of St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange.

The Fayette County Fair Association has not yet calculated attendance numbers from the Fair last weekend, but Association President Michael Zuhn said he was pleased with the turnout. “We feel it was really good,” Zuhn said.

Sunday School will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10 in Rutersville at 3 p.m.

The next regular meeting of the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 and Ladies Auxiliary is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at their facilities located at 1503 N. State Highway 237 in Round Top. Prior to the meeting a social hour and catered dinner will be held to honor the two students from Round Top-Carmine High School who attended Girls State Convention 2023 that is supported by the Ladies Auxiliary. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. followed by the dinner. All post members are requested to be in attendance for this meeting.
