Narcotics Unit Seizes 23 Kilos of Cocaine During Traffic Stop

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Oct. 31, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Canine Unit, Sgt. Randy Thumann and K9 partner Kolt, stopped an 18 wheeler pulling a flatbed trailer on I-10 at the 658 mile-marker at approximately 12:45 p.m. for a traffic violation.
Sgt. Randy Thumann and partner K9 Kolt discovered 23 kilos of cocaine with a street value of $2.3 million dollars from the altered trailer axles.

Fayette County 4-H Competes in Aggiefest

The Fayette County 4-H Junior Maroon Team was the Grand Champion Junior Livestock Judging Team. Team members consisted of Kaisley Janecka, Abraham McBride, Alexis Berckenhoff, and Crockett Guenther.

The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Association (BMGA) announces that registration is open for its 2024 Master Gardener Certification Training Class to be held in Brenham.
