Temple Israel of Schulenburg will host retired Ambassador Yoram Ettinger of Israel for a talk later this month. In an effort to increase community participation, the congregation will host a dinner at Senglemann Hall on Saturday, Feb. 24 including a talk from the Ambassador. Ettinger will deliver a lecture on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. at Temple Israel featuring the special guest.

Ettinger will discuss the following topics:

• The impact of Israel’s war on Hamas on the Israel-Arab peace process;

• The impact of Israel’s war on Hamas on US-Israel relations;

• The impact of Israel’s war on Hamas on the resolution of the Palestinian issue.

His topics highlight “What’s in it for the USA?” and challenge conventional wisdom by providing information, which one does not get through the “elite” media.

The event will be open to Temple members as well as the area community. Tickets will be available starting Feb. 1 by contacting Becky Berger, President of Temple Israel, at tischulenburg@yahoo.com or visiting the Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce office. Space is limited to 150 participants.
