Semi Truck Burns in Flatonia

An 18-wheeler caught fire at Cal Maine Foods in Flatonia Tuesday, Jan. 21. Flatonia Fire and Rescue got the call around 5:50 p.m. Flatonia Police reported that no other structures or vehicles were in danger, and there were no injuries. Flatonia firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

Turtle Wing Foundation Partners With Sheriff’s Department, EMS to Distribute Sensory Bags

The Turtle Wing Foundation is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at fostering inclusivity and enhancing community support: the distribution of sensory bags to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Fayette County EMS. These sensory bags are thoughtfully designed to assist first responders in better supporting individuals with sensory processing differences, including those on the autism spectrum, during emergencies.
